Recently due to a news report from a magazine, people have reported that Anna Pavlova is planning on retiring in December. The magazine article has quoted the mother confirming that Anna was planning on retiring. However, this IS NOT CORRECT. We believe there was a miscommunication with the reporter and Natalya (her mom).<br><br /><br />Anna Pavlova was originally considering retiring after the Russian Cup (then remaining in competition for the rest of the year), but never made an actual decision to retire.<br><br /><br />However, after Anna's very successful competition at the Russian Cup, Anna decided to continue gymnastics!<br><br /><br />Anna asked me directly to let all of her fans know that she DOES NOT PLAN ON RETIRING. When Anna does retire, she intends to let her fans know directly right through this website. Until we report her retirement, then it's not official from Anna Pavlova.

The Dynamo Cup will be taking place in Penza over the weekend. Today was the first day of the Event Finals at the Russian Cup. Anna did not compete in any apparatus finals today (She didn't compete in the Vault final). She will be competing in the Balance Beam final tomorrow however.
