I got confirmation from Anna that she will be competing at the Russian Championship next month in Penza! It will be around March 8.

Last week, Anna Pavlova competed at the Central Region Championships. She finished in 5'th place in the All Around competition! The results of the Competition are:

Also, some good news! Yulia Lozhechko has changed her mind about her retirement and is now competing again! She placed in 3'rd place in the competition. Unfortunately the decision comes just a little too late for her to be on the national team this year. I reported that Kristina Pravdina has retired, but I was incorrect. She is still active and competed as well! Kristina however won't be on the national team this year, and I can only operate websites for gymnasts on the national team so their sites will remain archived for now. But I will try to give updates about them here.

The Artistic Gymnastics Federation of Russia uploaded a video of the Moscow World Stars on their website, but the video cuts off early and was incomplete. The Russian Gymnastics Federation has announced the 2010 National Team! You can see the full list by clicking the "Read More" button below. Anna Pavlova is on the Reserve list for the Senior Team. This doesn't mean Anna won't compete internationally! Gymnasts on the Reserve list are typically being trained at their home club's facilities and not at Round Lake. Gymnasts that are recovering from injuries are usually on the reserve list, along with juniors.

Alla Sidorenko has uploaded two videos of Anna Pavlova competing at the Khorkina Cup back in November. They are from the Qualifications on the Balance Beam and on the Uneven Bars. In the end, Anna won the Gold for the Uneven Bars and a Silver for the Balance Beam.

Sadly, it has been reported that Anna Pavlova's father passed away yesterday. Anna will not be competing at the Voronin Memorial this year and will be heading home for the funeral.


I'd like to extend my condolences to Anna and her family. Losing a parent is a very difficult point in our lives and everyone at Anna Pavlova Online wishes Anna our full condolences and support.

The Artistic Gymnastics Federation of Russia has released the second issue of GYMNASTICS, a periodical about gymnastics in Russia. You can find the second issue here. The magazine is only in Russian however.

Anna has just competed at the Khorkina Cup in Belgorod Russia. While I don't have the detailed results of the competition, I know that Anna won the Gold Medal on the Uneven Bars. Anna also finished in second place on the Balance Beam!

Anna has reported that she is ready and planning on competing at the Voronin Memorial competition this December! Currently, the following gymnasts have confirmed they will be attending the competition:

Daria Elizarova will probably not be attending unfortunately due to being out recovering from a bad flu. She has recovered now, but has lost much needed time to prepare. We are hoping Daria will be able to compete at the Voronin Memorial!

The remaining gymnasts are not yet sure if they will be attending. I will check with them later in November.
